The Basic Japanese Language Course at SJLS is designed to help beginners build a strong foundation in the Japanese language. It focuses on essential vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation to develop practical communication skills for everyday use, while also preparing students for the JLPT N5 examination.
Weekday Batch: 4 Months
Weekend Batch: 5 Months
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
Introduce themselves and greet others confidently in Japanese
Use common phrases for daily communication
Understand basic grammar, verbs, adjectives, and sentence structures
Read and write in Hiragana, Katakana, and basic Kanji
Students will develop the ability to read and understand common expressions and sentences written in Hiragana, Katakana, and simple Kanji.
Listening practice focuses on comprehending basic conversations used in everyday situations such as greetings, shopping, and travel.
By the end of the course, students will be able to communicate confidently in simple Japanese, handling basic situations like introductions, requests, invitations, complaints, and apologies.
This course also provides complete preparation for the JLPT N5 examination.
